Please discuss the features of best response which should be there in the best response at myLot? On what basis best response should be selected by the asker? What are the different qualities a best answer must possess?

Best Answer should be awarded after getting minimum responses. There is no time frame. There is a posibility of getting good response from more than one. The first good response may be modernised and changed with adding examples may be more attractive to the first place. Discussion is in all angles responded. Answer should be supportive proof or details. Simple answers like 'yes/good/bad/no/don't know' should be avoided. I've given only outlines only. The correct picture should be arrived by the discussion maker only. He knows the presentation angle of the discussion. But some of the members giving first response as best response, in order to attract more members waiting on wings for him to make discussion. This is in wrong notion going in the myLot. But I'm very much interested to withdraw the best answer provision by the myLot. It can be rested with them for better appreciation.

Thanks for ur good answer. I feel the best answer feature should not be withdrawn. I support ur viewpoint of time frame and assert that time frame feature needs to be added. Once the best answer has been chosen the discussion should be closed. I have seen that discussion at myLot continues even after the best answer has been selected. I would like to add that best answer feature needs some improvisations by the myLot. What do u say? It is better to improve this feature than withdrawing it fully!!

For me, the best response should be well thought out and coherent. It also should be relevant to the question and should help me if I am asking for help. If it's an opinion, it doesn't need to agree with my opinion, it just needs to have an explanation of why he or she feels the way they do.

So you're telling that ego satisfaction of asker. Am I correct! Explanation to the discussion is not the requirement.
