Well its been a while since i last posted something here on Mylot so I thought as its the Holiday season that perhaps I should post something. So here goes..... Every family has a tradition with the holidays and some have several traditions One of my favorite Tradtions of the Holday season is listening to Christmas carols and Christmas songs as well as watching the holiday movies such as Home Alone (have watched the new one recently) It puts me in the festive mood and it drives everyone in the house nuts. The tree is up the day before thanksgiving to give that holiday season a good start What I would like to know from the Mylot family is what are some of the traditions you do around the holidays that makes it special for you and your loved ones? Some its helping out with charities that the rest of the year there just isn't the time , others its inviting people into their home to share the holidays with. Christmas is the best time of the year and its a reason to celebrate not just as a Christian but also as a human as we recognise that we have survived another year of caos. I think of those people stuck at airports and other places wishing they could be home for the holidays but some of us just cant due to life saving commitments. SO I want to say a huge thank you to all those Police officers and fire firefighters and Hospital workers who cant be with their families at this time of the year > Lets lighten their work load by being kinder to those around us this holiday season by staying off the roads when we have had too much to drink or take a rest when we have driven a long time so we can avoid causing unnessasary work loads for those who are dealing with the country while the rest of us Celebrate. If you see a police officer say thank you for keeping my neighborhood safe while I go away so I don't have to deal with a broken in house when I get back. If you know a Doctor who works in a hospital or nurse who does say thanks to them for giving up their holiday so you can enjoy yours If you have extra this holiday season please be kind and invite someone who might be celebrating alone to join you for the holidays. and most importantly don't forget your pets they enjoy the holidays too. A small gift for them and turkey breast but avoid the chocolate and onions and thank the vets for keeping your pet healthy so you don't need to deal with another bill or a death of a pet at Christmas. So with all that said Merry Christmas , Happy Holidays., Happy Hanukkah , Happy Kwanzaa and a merry winter solstice
