Does my spouse listen to me? If you asked him he'd say yes. Lmao. But he clearly doesn't otherwise I wouldn't have to repeat myself so much or always think I'm talking to a wall. Lol. And that's with both the important stuff and not so important stuff.

I think it happens to all of us from time to time but if it happened every day I’d be upset.

My Step-Dad is a bit deaf. But that doesn't excuse it when my Mum is in the middle of telling him something and he just walks out of the room and goes upstairs! My Mum then looks at me as if to say, he's done it again. He did it today when Mum was trying to read a poem to him that somebody from Church had written. When he walked out of the room and went upstairs my Mum looked at me and said, "Am I invisible or something?"

I feel that partners in general suffer from this problem. While I'll admit to tuning things out when I'm trying to read or write, (I need to focus on my screen reader), my husband has no such excuse and most of the time we don't hear each other.

Not me. Always listening even when don't want to. Unless he mumbles, as stated in my newer post.

And there is a big difference between simply hearing someone And really listening to them

maybe that's the nature of your partner, a person who is indifferent but loving.

My husband does not always listen. I think most men are just that way at times.

Maybe. Don't pay attention to more than like 5 of them myself.
