I have not watched it yet, but Casey has had a wolf following him. Monica saves the wolf in one scene. His dad told Casey to kill the wolf. Casey could not do it but had a long heart to heart with the wolf. The wolf did not listen and Monica was there the next time. Casey was going to shoot it right there. I told him Baby or some crap.
Monica is like kill him another day. Anyway, this episode is called 'Keep the wolves close. " I hope they show some wolves, favorite animal on the planet Mix it in with some good story telling and you have another hit episode people. 
I did see they starting with Jimmy again. He kind of looks like a cowboy. That's all I saw we will see what happens.

My elder daughter enjoys these stories with werewolves, wolves, vampires etc. I somehow could never develop an interest for them.

No, this nothing like that and they were apparently using it metaphorically as people were the wolves like real wild life wolves. No wolf appearance in this episode, a little disappointed because I wanted to see a wolf. 
This was more like American Westerns just in modern era cowboy stuff. Still a pretty good episode they do good at teaching you some things and why I like it.
