Tonight we had a brand NEW episode of Andre Rieu: Welcome to My World.
That was on at 9:00pm, but before that at 8:00pm we had a repeat, the one called "Dance the Night Away" which was still good even though it was a repeat, and we really enjoyed it.
The new episode was called Classics In Columbia.
So, Andre Rieu and his Johann Strauss orchestra went to do a series of concerts for the first time in Columbia. He couldn't come before because there was no hall in Columbia for them to play in. But now they've build one, and so Andre went.
We saw him visiting some attractions in the area where he was, and signing autographs. Him and the Johann Strauss orchestra went in a chairlift up a mountain from where they saw a great view of the city and surrounding countryside.
They showed you backstage at the concerts before they went on.
They did their signature entrance and played some tunes from the stage.
They'd just finished playing The Snow Waltz and a lot of fake snow had come down in an avalanche on top of the people in the middle area, when they heard a series of loud bangs. Andre apologised and said they'd have to take a break because something was wrong with the power and they needed someone to sort it out. It took them an hour to find the problem and fix it!
Meanwhile, from backstage, Andre and his orchestra were watching the crowd in the hall on a monitor. They were entertaining themselves, doing Mexican waves and singing. Not one of them got impatient and left! A young lad got up on the balcony and started playing his plastic flute, which really entertained the crowd and they were really enjoying it.
Andre and his orchestra came on stage and they got the boy, who's name was Daniel, to come on stage and play with them. Afterwards Andre shook his hand.
Then it was announced the power was fixed and Andre could continue the concert properly. No-one wanted to go home!
The next day the flutist in Andre's orchestra went out and bought the best silver flute he could find (on Andre's credit card!). The young boy was getting famous. It was in all the newspapers about this young boy who stole the show at the Andre Rieu concert. Andre invited him back to that night's show. On the way he was being photographed and he had people interview him! At the concert, Andre invited him backstage where he presented him with the silver flute.
We also saw someone painting graffiti on a wall with spray paint, and the actual picture he was painting was a large wall art painting of Andre Rieu! (Eat your heart out, Banksy!)
They played The Columbian national anthem, which really pleased the crowd.
It was a very good episode and we really enjoyed it.
How was your day?
Have a great night.

I am glad you enjoyed the episodes of your shows. Dane The Night Away sounds alittle bit like our Dancing With The Stars.

Thank you very much. Not really. It was bits of concert and backstage stuff. They had a lot of dancers coming down the isles though and they danced the Waltz to Lara's Theme. Lou Bager was there singing Mambo No.5 and Tooty Fruity!
