Google Adsense can be a good source of income

I've been using Google Adsense on my blogs, and it works legitimately, but sometimes the earnings go up and down.
However, there were several times that I have earned big ($50 - $800 a day), and from a passive income - that was awesome for me.
I don't earn much these days, though, but it pays me regularly whenever I reach the payout ($100). So, it's legitimate.
The cents trickle in, but I don't mind as it's actually a passive income..
I just write my posts and Adsense will automatically display ads related to my post.
Have you every tried Google Adsense?
What were your experiences with it?

@Jenaisle Thank you. You have an impressive blog. May I ask how much it cost you to run your blog. I have been planning for the longest time to start a blog but I feel discouraged.

I could never figure out how to make that work.
I could never really figure out a niche that I was passionate about.
Things have changed a lot and maybe I'd be more successful now, but I work full time now and don't really have the time to pursue it.
Maybe you can run a seminar?

I have. But, it got disconnected because I wasn't generating enough traffic. It's good passive income, but you also need to put in some effort to make it work for you.
