Winter has set in India with winds blowing!! Welcoming Lovely Winter!!! / myLot

Hi guys, Hope you all are doing good. I am doing good too. The weather has changed suddenly since few days. From being pleasant weather, it has now turned cold and winter has finally set in. Winds are blowing in morning and in evening followed by night. The birds in the image come every year during this time in Surat. They are found throughout the day on bridge. It looks beautiful in morning. I take walk on my terrace in morning and I felt much wind blowing since few days. In India, we experience winter for few months. Generally it starts from November.. This time due to climate change, there were rains in November and finally now, winters have started. It will go on till March. After the holi festival, summers start. Till then we can enjoy lovely winter by wearing sweaters and enjoying warm yummy food. How is the weather at your end?? Share your thoughts about it. Have a good day. Take care!!!

I never think of India as experiencing winter, so thank you for sharing this. And to hear the word 'lovely' to describe winter does seem contradictory to a Canadian.

Actually, a lot of folks love winter - they get out and really learn to appreciate it here. How cold can it get? I guess it would depend on elevation as well as your locale? Here, it is currently -1 C. It snowed a bit last night but we have had funny weather - it will snow a couple of centimetres and then it will warm up above zero, rain, and will wash away the snow. I don't mind it when I don't have to go out and shovel it!! Alas, it won't be like this come January and February. I've heard that the forecast promises plenty of plowing exercise!
