We Need a Little Christmas

To my Christmas songs, I am adding a song I had almost forgotten, In 1974 Lucille Ball played the title role in the musical "Mame" At a time when it seemed everything was going from bad to worse and it was still not Christmas Lucille as Mame sang this wonderful song "We Need a Little Christmas" and so I have chosen to present it to you because all of us might need a little Christmas right now even though we still have about a week until Christmas Eve.

When I tell my Mum it's nearly Christmas, she says, Oh, shut up! This is because she hasn't got all the Christmas presents yet, she hasn't wrapped the ones she has got, she hasn't done her Christmas cards and she hasn't put the tree up! I tell her that's your fault for procrastinating! Then the song "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" is played on the TV and my Mum goes, "Oh! Shut up!"

I so associate that with Angela Lansbury!!!! Doesn’t Lucille Ball look weird with a dark-hair wig instead of her natural red???
