Finally opened them...

Unfortunately, Christmas is a depressing day for me. It shouldn't be, but it is.
For most of the day, I let the presents I've recieved over the last week or so just sit under the tree. I kept meaning to open them, but I just couldn't get in the mood.
Finally my brother's x-girlfriend, with whom I'm still friends, called to let me know that her daughter-in-law had gone into labor. I said I was happy for her, but explained that I wasn't feeling so great and why.
I forget everything she said, but one of the last things she said was that she wanted me to open my presents, take photos of them and send them to her and tell me who they were from. That made me feel better and put me in the mood, so I did.
I opened the gifts, took photos with my phone and my camera, and catalouged what they were and what was from who in my journal (that last part being something I've done for years).
I'm sure glad I got that call.

I usually leave any wrapped gifts I get from the Centre for Christmas but this year there was just the one (others weren't wrapped) and I'm glad I unwrapped it that day when Juanita was here. It was a French press and bean grinder. I gave it to her as I don't drink coffee. She was happy to get the bean grinder as she had some unground coffee beans at home.
