It;s an anti depressant that's suppsed to help you quit smokuing. My doctor put me on it in hopes I can quit smoking and help out my crappy attitude. Is anone else taking it for similar reasons?? I've never met anyone who has tried it or is one it. It kind of is working tho I think .. . I don't smoke NEAR as much as I used to . . .it kinda makes them taste funny. I smoke newports, I LOVE the menthal:) But the ziban makes them taste really creaming (smokers will know what I mean) they just don't taste as good and I end up throwing the cig out when I'm about 1/2 way done! And a pack can last me know about 2-3 days when I was smoking just over 1 pack a day. And I've only been taking this stuff for a week!!! My Dr said I won't notice a difference with the attitude and all for about 2-3 weeks.

I have got Zyban from my doctor a few months ago and they are sitting in my drawer waiting for me to start taking them. I have heard some really terrible stories about Zyban though and am a bit afraid to start (mor than give up smoking). How are you going? Are you still on them?

When I first started taking them, I was really anxious, but that only lasted a day or so. I actually did slow my smoking down . . . a pack instead of lasting 1 day or less was lasting 2-3 days and they actually did taste funny to me . . . but now I'm just taking them because they help with my mood swings :) I'm still smokin like a banchie!!!

I have taken Wellbutrin once. And I must say, I did quit. But because my partner did not quit smiking, when I stopped taking it, I started smoking again. The one thing I didn't like about the Wellbutrin was it made me very emotional. I cried like a baby! LOL So if you find yourself crying when you wouldn't have cried before, that would be the reason why. Best of luck sweetie!

It doesn't make me emotional. It makes me really anxious sometimes though. I have yet to quit and my husband doesn't smoke and he really wants me to quit . . .I've cut back alot though.
