Emotional Abusive Families

I believe that a family who emotional abuse each other only pretend to be good on holidays. That’s why I don’t expect the feeling to be genuine on the holidays. Also why I just live for the moment knowing it’d go back to normal after the holidays. Since I don’t expect my family to be genuine all the time I just ignore the negativity and enjoy the positivity. I’m grateful for the presents but it’d be nice if families are genuine all the time

They can't all be like those seen on t.v. It would be nice, though.

@Mayabee21 Most of it is, but it's inspired by what's current at the time. They make up stories and plots, but they draw from what's around them.

Yes it would but life isn't sunshine and roses all of the time. My family is not close...geographically or emotionally and it hurts me. We live too far away from each other to spend the holidays together, but that's probably a good thing.
