They arrived in the United Kingdom last month. The primary purpose of them is to 'encourage' younger people to get vaccinated so to earn their entertainment treats like going to clubs and big sports venues. Boris rescued the un-jabbed by letting them take a lateral flow test to get in these same venues instead. In fact the un-jabbed taking a LFT are safer in the venues as you know if they are infected or not which you dont know if vaccine passport punters are, which they can be, hence why Covid is still spreading fast with Omicron. We are heavily jabbed here as half the population have three jabs but the passport and masks are mostly a cosmetic measure the government can bring in so they are seen to be doing something to slow spread and , more importantly, dont have to reintroduce the financially crippling furlough payments. Boris made a recorded comment early on in the pandemic that he was prepared to 'pile the bodies high' to avoid crippling lockdown's. England & N.Ireland are the only home nations to avoid more stringent measures as Scotland begin to lockdown venues and bring back restricted people in venues. We know there is very low spread in sport stadiums outside but they still went ahead with limiting crowds to a very silly 500 people. Again, they dont want to close businesses. Venues ended up quiet as deliberate mixed messages from government put people off going out before Christmas, jabbed or not. Problem is Scotland and Wales introduced Covid passes back in October but the coronavirus spread and hospitalizing rates are just as high as England. They dont really work to slow spread. People not jabbed simply didn't go out and so venues were quiet and so jabbed didn't go out so much and so Covid kept rising and profits kept falling. Austria have gone the whole 9 yards and made vax passports mandatory by February 2022. Good luck with that . If they dont pull back on that the riots will be big. Most of the un-jabbed around Europe are the restless young looking for a scrap, alienated black, Roma gypsy or Asian communities and so apartheid of sorts. Their reasons for not getting jabbed are cultural, political and mistrust of health services than being lazy. What I dont like is the current politics of blaming the un-jabbed for spread. Remember that 10% of the jabbed will not produce antibodies from the jab and so no protection and so spreaders. Between 5 and 10 percent have a needle or hospital setting phobia .If they dont go dentist because of blood and pain then they probably wont get jabbed, if they feel low risk. With omicron the risk to under the age of 50 is very low but spread risk much higher. Lets just try and jab the at risk and get herd immunity in them and move on as Omicron is not going away and some people are simply not going to get jabbed. If you believe the conspiracy theory stuff online about jabs and not getting jabs for that reason then maybe you should have to do a mandatory class like you do when you get caught speeding or something to educate you. lets not attack them.
