I Saw THE MATRIX: RESURRECTIONS, and ... meh, but Interesting, Complicated, Fascinating ... SPOILER ALERT

I saw THE MATRIX: RESURRECTIONS on HBOMAX (where it's showing--I think--until January 2), and I'm going to spoil a lot of it below ... mostly to talk about some of the symbolism, but a little bit "just because"
It of-course takes place after The MATRIX Trilogy, and we learn that Thomas "Neo" Anderson is a video-game designer in a reality where The MATRIX Trilogy was actually just a series of video-games he designed.
He runs into Trinity, who (also?) doesn't remember anything of 'the past life she lived in The MATRIX Trilogy'--she's married with children, and thinks her name is Tiffany--and ...
It's very mixed up (and it gets a little bit like INCEPTION, where you're not sure if Neo is having another brief hallucination). I think the deal is that the people of "the real world" stumbled-upon his 'resurrection' through a glitch in The Matrix, and--since his sacrifice freed them from the Matrix Mind-Prison--they feel like they have to free him.
And we also find out that--since he & Trinity were 'soulmates' or something--the only way The Machines could resurrect him would be if they resurrected Trinity too ... but only if they kept the two far apart.
Did you see it? Was I close on that description?
It kinda brings up a Biblical parallel---Neo being "The One" who loves-&-serves Trinity (like Jesus is 'The One,' and God being known as The Trinity ... although there's only one God ...)
Any other symbolism stand out for you?

We watched about 20 minutes of it and quit. Just boring to us.
