Bringing in the new year

I am ready for this year to end. I am planning on staying up to see this year go out and see the new year come in. I am going to have to see if they are going to put on television the ball drop in New York. I am sure there will be something on Television about when the year will end and the new year will begin.
When the new year gets here; I am not sure if I will do or eat anything to bring me good luck for next year. I might change my mind on this though.

How was your year in 2021? Bad? Of so, I can understand why you are ready for a new year. My year was okay, but I am also ready for the new year. It's like a fresh start. Happy new year!

It was not a real bad year, but it was not a real good year either. I wish it could have been better.
