Do You Make Annual Goals Every Year?

It is almost the end of 2021 and it is time for me to make my annual goals for the new year. My friend and I do this every year and we really enjoy it. We get together halfway through the year and check in on them to see how we are doing on meeting our goals so far. It helps to keep us on track, and the goals help us move forward in our lives.
Some of our goals are personal, like weight loss goals and some of them are financial, like how much money we want to earn during the next year, how much we want to save, etc.
Some people call their goals New Year's Resolutions but we take these much more seriously so they are life goals.
Do you make new goals for yourself every year?

@Kouponkaren , I hate to bring it to you, but we have absolutely no control over this one.

@marlina I think I will always be doing this, even if I live to be 100...which in itself is a goal for me!

Not really, but I keep in my mind what I want to accomplish.

@Kouponkaren That is true, and I do do that sometimes.

Well, that's a start. They do say that those who write down their goals have a much better chance of reaching them, so that works for me.

Nope I don’t make goals yearly just in general goals like saving up for a house but that isn’t a yearly thing it’s a set money goal to put aside.

@Kouponkaren I can tell from the way you explain things. I do have my house broken down it not by year sicne we live in a fixed income and I don’t know what all the bills will be each months. So it’s broken down by the 1k once I have the first 1k saved it’ll move to 2k when we have 2.5k saved I’ll start looking for actually house with the knowing we might get another 2.5k from the bank I’d not at all depending on what we want to buy. I keep my eyes on the housing market for the area we want which is 3 hours away from where we currently live.

@ShyBear88 Good for you. That's a very big goal so probably wouldn't fit into annual goals anyway. Although for me I know I would probably have it as a goal but break it down into, "Save $10,000 for a house in 2022." Or something like that. I am very goal-oriented. Can you tell? Ha ha.

I do not as it is too stressful to reach them

@RebeccasFarm Well, you do make a good point there. Sometimes I do feel stressed about reaching my annual goals. But honestly, I have a lot of dreams and things I want to accomplish and I am pretty sure I wouldn't even get half of them done if I didn't challenge myself with these annual goals. But that's just the way I am wired personally.

I always set goals for me every year, most of them I don't reach but at least I try and achieve others.

@yoalldudes Good for you. I would love that too, but I feel like it's a lost cause for me.
