A very "Duh" morning. I feel so stupid

so I woke in the middle of the night as I usually do and couldn't go back to sleep which I really needed to. Thought maybe if I played a slow quiet boring game I would dose off again. My mouse wouldn't work Great ! So I had to get up and go dig in one of my drawers for a battery and luckily I had one it took. Back to bed. I put the battery in and still the mouse not working. So came the worry over having to do without a mouse until pay day again. I ended up tossing around till I finally slept again. When I woke up, I thought about it and it dawned on me I might have put the battery in backwards Yep, that was the problem. So here I am back in business. Ever do something that dumb ?
