A weird rescue story from Wisconsin

One rule of thumb that I can remember when I used to see on television shows on Tru Tv years ago is that when the criminal is asked to stop by the police for a traffic violation, do not try to flee.
On Christmas morning in Eau Claire Wisconsin, David Lunde who is a resident of Prescott fled from the police when his auto was stopped by a local police officer after the tail light of David's auto that was burnt out as well as making an improper turn on the road decided to flee the scene and drive away since he had in his possession a bag of cocaine in his pocket at the time he fled from the scene before he stopped his auto after a brief chase in the streets of Eau Claire.
The fun part began when David and another male who was with him fled from their auto by running away through residential yards before David jumped into a bush and was stuck there for a brief while until the police officer pulled him out of the bush and arrested him on drug possession charges.
What is interesting of this story is that David had been released from prison in Washington County in Minnesota on drug possession charges and drunk driving.
David if convicted of the drug possession charge could face 15 years in prison this time.
At least the police officer showed kindness getting David out of the bush that he was trapped in on Christmas morning.
I guess David thought the police in Eau Claire were taking the day off due to it being Christmas.

I found it funny as well that the criminal tried to hide in a bush as well. Happy New Year to you and your loved ones as well.

I know what you mean that the criminal had to be rescued by the police officer after he was stuck in a bush.
