I often wonder, especially the last few years, how much longer I'll be able to make it until midnight on New Year's Eve. I did my usual--closing out one journal and starting a new one--though I wasn't able to complete last year's journal by several pages. I had a good excuse, though--I moved and misplaced the journal, plus I filled a whole other slightly thinner book before I found the original 2021 journal, so I'm not beating myself up about it too much. Of course, because of the late night/early morning, my brain isn't functioning fully (well, less so than usual). I'd like to try to get some cleaning done around here--the dishwasher needs unloading and I need to clean the microwave, as something boiled over in there. I am going to check my bank account on-line to make sure that I have enough to pay the rent (I'm 99.9% sure that I do, but again, my brain is cloudy...) and then go to the apartment complex website and pay it. I hope that you all had a safe night last night, and enjoy the first day of 2022 !
