A 10 year old girl who saved her family from a fire gets national recognition

Aussie Talbot who is 10 years of age is being recognized by Highlights magazine in its January edition for her heroic efforts of waking up around 4am last April and alert the members of her family that their house had caught fire. Aussie able to get all of her family members out of the burning home in time. Even though Aussie admitted that she was scared when the fire broke out inside of her relatives home, she did what she could to get her relatives out of the house in time. Aussie's family was able to find a new home thanks to the help of their community in Summerville South Carolina after her previous home was destroyed by the fire. Highlights is a magazine that shows persons who overcome adverse situations and become successful in life. Congratulations to Aussie for her bravery in assisting her relatives to get out of a house fire and be rewarded by a magazine of being an example of bravery during a harsh event like a house fire.
