Liter box cat.

For the past several weeks, it's been rather warm, highs hitting 80 or higher. This in turn woke the fleas, so the cats have been trying to avoid them. However, one cat in particular, Chinnia, has taken on a different approach. Her liter box is her favorite spot. I suspect she might also be in pain, and just not feeling well in general. All of our cats are senior cats the youngest being in the neighborhood of 13. Chinnia, herself, I would have to say, close to if not pretty much 18. If I had to guess. Possibly a little younger. So her not feeling well, appearing to be in pain, etc, isn't a surprise. Yesterday and today however, Chinnia's spent time on top of her box's lid, so she's making progress.

I hope I could have senior cats in the future. At this point in time, it is not the right time.

A senior cat, is defined as a cat at least ten years of age. So if you have a cat ten years or older, you have a senior cat.

Same here, however, I'm starting to suspect she's nearing her lifespan. I don't want to think about it too much, but behavioral changes make me think it's possible.

Elizabeth
When I change the litter, Teeny likes to play in it. She's so funny when she does it too. Elizabeth, my oldest is 13, Teeny, the youngest is 8ish months. Elizabeth is very feral.

She's still spending most of the day in the box, but she's been on top of it at night.

You are indeed a cat lover. do cats have the same life span as dogs have?

Cats can live as long as most medium to small dogs. Large dogs only live 7-9 years on average - note the word average, because like anything, some can live longer.

All of my cats have lived to at least, 18. Precious lived to be 19, and I had a cat that made it to 22.
