A little warmer but still cool today.

Today was a bit warmer, actually reaching the 70's (even if just barely). We had bright sun which helped, but annoying wind. Yesterday, George started to take down the christmas lights. Next year we hope (or I should say this fall) we hope to get a better head start.
Today we went grocery shopping at Aldi, and I asked George to take me to Ormand so we could pick up Chilly's pills. With retirement around the corrner, and him working less, he's been more agreeable to take me places he hadn't planned on. He even agreed (and even suggested) moving the van so I could get to the dryer to wash and dry a blanket. So, the changes in him are good. I just hope they last after he actually retires.

He always has been. He just used to get more agaverated easier, when I asked him to take me to a place he didn't plan.

I got up and nearly froze this morning when I stepped out of my down blanket, I have long pants on and a sweater all day and even now that brisk wind is making me look forward to my warm blanket again, I hope your husband continues to be so good to you and can take you where you need to go,

You sound like my husband, when it comes to the cold. I can handle it a bit more than he can.

@kaylachan well even after four years my bones still seem to feel the 20 years of frozen cold snowy winters I went through in Latvia, Some years for about 2 weeks at a time the temps would fall to even 30 below and not rise a bit,

I can handle a little wind. And, it surprises me as to how agreeable he can be.

Jay's last two years of work were terrible. He wasn't only delivering mail, but groceries and among people with COVID, five days a week. Of course he received the shots, which made things a little better. Now that he's retired, our life is better.

George is on his last ten months. A fact he's not shy reminding me about. And, I'm well-aware of the stresses. I did his job for six years.

@kaylachan The US Postal Service glorifies their jobs. They aren't good to their employees!

That's good. With retirement, less worry about working & work. So nice it's working out good for you.

It's all he can talk about.
And, yeah, that's cold. Not quite freezing, but close.
