Hi guys,
Hope you all are doing good. I am doing good too.
Winters have started in India since December. With New year starting, there are some healthy and nutritious snacks one can eat during the day. I consume it as often as I can.
First is Puffed Rice Jaggery Ladoos. Puffed Rice are easily available in market. One can dry roast them for a while and then add jaggery syrup in it mix it well and when it's lukewarm can make in ladoo (round) shape.
It's a healthy and nutritious snack. One can consume at any time of day and can eat little more too. Jaggery is very good for health.
Another one is Sesame Ladoos. Sesame seeds have many health benefits like it helps in lowering cholesterol, fight against infections, it helps to maintain good oral health, it offers aid in diabetes treatment and helps to prevent cancer too.
Sesame seeds have lot of nutrients like Phosphorus, Magnesium, Iron, Zinc, Selenium, Vitamin B1 etc.
Sesame Ladoos are made by mixing sesame seeds along with jaggery syrup and when it's lukewarm, it's made in round shape like Ladoos.
Last but not the least is Chikki. It's a square shaped dessert made with jaggery. They are of different kinds like Peanut Chikki, Dryfruits Chikki, Rajgira Chikki etc. It's super tasty, gives good energy and it's very good for health as well.
We can always opt for heathier snacks if we want to maintain a good health. Do try this at home as it's very easy and takes very little time.
Do let me know what all snacks you like to consume. Have a good day. Take care!!!

@Rashnag I don't eat it much due to diabetes. But definitely make it as tradition and for my husband and daughters. It's nutritious and also a good one for this weather.
