So Bond dominated the year as it grinds up to one billion dollars gross since its delayed release. They released it on streaming and DVD at the Christmas run in so people could see it at home after a great run in the cinema. I wont tell you the ending other than its a long wait for it, the film running nearly three hours! The 2921 Oscars were predictable, a black issues movie (Judas and the Black Messiah), a dementia movie (The Father) , a lost America one ( Nomadland) , a new America movie (Minari) and a drunk movie ( Another Round). As per usual, most of these films were released late in 2020/21 right up to The Academy Award deadline on Feb 1st, the theory being the public dont actually get to see them so word of mouth cant trash their hopes, the critics leading the sheep that are The Academy members on what to vote for. The Oscar winners are NEVER the best films of the year. The winners are the ones who spend the most money on lobbying to win an Oscar. The Black Lives Matter movement is dribbling away so far less pressure this year( 2022) to nominate black actors and films for awards. #Metoo also all but gone so no sign of feminist movies getting the nod. Like I said, not many of us will have seen many of the films tat will be nominated this year and so no point watching The Oscars anymore.

If the lobbies win Oscars no point in watching them.
