Booster Dose Vaccination Drive started in India!!!

Hi guys, Hope you all are doing good. I am doing good too. As the number of cases has spiked in India, the government has started the Booster Dose Vaccination Drive from 10th January, 2022 in India. The booster dose is mainly given to the Front line and Health Care workers. It's also been given to Senior Citizens above 60years old who have comorbidities like Diabetes, Hypertension etc. The eligible senior citizens will start getting messages from the application for the date and time to visit the Vaccination centres. On first day itself, in Surat city where I live, 4,422 persons have got Booster Dose across 39 centres. Those vaccinated includes 2,002 health care workers, 466 frontline workers and 1,954 senior citizens. People who have taken prior doses of vaccine i.e. Covishield and Covaxin will get the same booster dose ahead. The Booster Dose details will be mentioned additionally in the Second Dose Vaccination Certificate itself. The government has taken this step to start giving Booster Dose as the number of Covid cases have taken huge jump since few days across the country. I feel it's a great initiative taken by the government as in order to fight with Omicron virus, we all need more immunity. Share your thoughts about it. How is the situation at your end.
