Who tried to make money selling e-books? / myLot

Recently I came across information about making money on Amazon selling e-books, there was little information, I wonder if someone tried it? I have a children's book created by me with illustrations, it would be very cool to try to sell through amazon kids

Writing is my passion too. I have already written many optimistic quotes and few poems. Writing e- books/ at least one physical book is my wish. I have to explore more about it.
