Yard work never seems to end in Florida.

The weather has been up and down, as expected in the state of Florida. We haven't been getting a whole lot of rain, due to this being our dry season, but our neighbor has a sprinkler system that she's been running. So, our lawn gets a little of the water due to design. So, my husband, George, is mowing and using our edger in the area around the mailbox, because of all the growth thanks to the sprinklers.
He loves living outside, so he doesn't seem to mind, much. He'll keep doing it as long as he's able and enjoys it.

Does some of your lawn get dry spots during the dry season? It does here in Michigan when rain is sparse. Our neighbor has a sprinkler system but we along with the rest of the neighborhood don't.

Yes, it does. Usually in the front. I can't speak for the back, though.

@kaylachan our front had dryer spots than the back to mostly because the back used to have better shade. Now that we took down a tree and have a lawn service more I don't check out the back yard much either.

I'm sure there are places where that needs done here, too. And, I can guarentee no one can be bothered.

Glad that he likes to do that. I am kind of glad that I moved to an apartment, as I could not keep up with the front and backyards at my house myself.

Yep. That's one good thing about apartment life, someone else is responsible. When we lived in apartments, George hated it.

I am glad I no longer have a garden. I had a big one in Latvia and boy it was something to be done each and every season and then the winter snow and so on, Now if I really feel like it, I might plant some tomatoes in a flower pot,

George says he wants to garden. He loves to be outside, so that might actually happen.

Yeah. I know what you mean. Our flower bed is nothing but weeds. Which isn't a real shock. George's been saying for the past five years, he's going to do something about it. He'll trim and remove the weeds, that's about it.

I love imagining the yard work you and your husband are doing and enjoying at the same time.
Hubby, too. He started buying garden-things and working hard since he turned 66. And immensely enjoying it at the same time.
