How Do Writers Get Famous?

Picture on the one main tip I was looking-for: (paraphrased) Submit Your Writing Often! https://www.wikihow.com/Become-a-Famous-Writer

I was wondering how writers get famous, and a web-search led me to a couple of things: the wikiHow on 'how to become a famous writer,' and a list of tips from famous writers. The how-to was basically 'good habits for writers to practice while they wait for their fame to "come into bloom."' The writers' tips--of which I've only read a few--look more practical. https://www.aerogrammestudio.com/2013/07/19/23-tips-from-famous-writers-for-new-and-emerging-authors/ But I think the main WAY they got famous was 'to just keep doing what they do (naturally improving their technique as they go ... trial-and-error is one of the best teachers ...)' until enough big 'publishers' (from the root-meaning 'people who make things more-public') flood the market with your greatest works.

With a good story to tell , one can become a best selling author.

Do you know the steps to take BETWEEN 'having a good story' and 'accepting the best-sellers' award'?

@Kandae11 So if I share my blog-posts on Twitter, how long do you think it'll be before a publisher hires me?

@mythociate l think, promotion would help, promoting oneself and the book. The availability of social media should make that process a bit easier.

I think having many readers makes you famous

I disagree. Maybe "having many readers" is a step on the way to being famous ... which may be the only step most writers have to worry about. But you've got to get published, meaning you've got to get your writing seen by a publisher who will pay you for your writing, yeah?

Becoming a writer ... hmm .. Nowadays you need a great idea, a laptop and a lot of free time! It was more complicated 100 years ago!

Actually, now it's MORE complicated; If 'everyone with a laptop and some spare time' is a writer, what can I do to put my writing ABOVE the crowd.
