It is Texas out there...

Yesterday was nice, but since I was reacting to my COVID booster I didn't enjoy it. However, today was even nicer. The weather guys thought it'd get up to 72º, I'm pretty sure it was more like 78º.
I have a lot of YouTube people I follow and I try to get these watched before the roommate goes to work. I can't do it for all of them because some don't post it before she goes to work.
However, because today was even nicer, I decided to take my book and read on the bench out front. I went out just after 3.
Now, tomorrow is trash day and I had gotten the cat litter out into the trash can. I also got 2 more of the Styrofoam coolers into the trash bin. Tomorrow is also recycling pick up. I had 5 of the cardboard boxes the coolers are shipped out in. I looked at the trash can and decided that if I could breakdown another Styrofoam cooler I could get it out as well.
And that is what I did.
I took all the boxes that no longer held coolers and took them down to the street.
That was after I walked down to get the mail from the guy delivering the mail.
Oh, and somehow there was cat litter after I got the cart outside on the porch. I got my broom and swept the cat litter off the porch - I mean, it is clean. I then swept the pile of leaves off the porch onto the lawn.
Hummm... I say lawn, but it is mostly something called 'horseherb' that is drought tolerant, shade tolerant and can take some foot traffic. I was looking in a book once trying to find something that would work. That's when I discovered that what I already had in the yard was what I wanted, and its name.
Anyway, I also read my book until my friend who helps us with mopping the floors and doing the hamster cage, arrived. I asked him to take the two bins to the street. Normally I would've done it, but while I'm feeling better than yesterday, I'm not at 100%.
Mind you, my 100% is probably most people's 50 to 70%. At this point, there are more people younger than I am than older people.
The friend also checked something electrical in my wife's room.
But, while I've wasted your time talking about my afternoon, let me tell you why I'm saying that it is Texas out there... tomorrow it is only going to be in the 50s. My phone says it is going to be below freezing - that's 32º in "freedom units' or 0º in centigrade.
And my phone says it is going to be colder tomorrow night - Friday morning.
So, even if you don't have bad weather often, like we don't have it, you can see how crazy Texas weather is.

Weather is crazy everywhere. It's currently snowing and -11°C/12°F, after getting up to 4°C yesterday. And I don't know where we're supposed to put this new snow that's falling after getting more than 40cm of it two days ago.

I don't know, it strikes me as bad that you have 40cm on the ground of snow, have temps go above freezing and then throw more snow on top. At least when we had our "snowageddon" last year it went below freezing and stayed there until it went above and everything melted. In fact, the following Wednesday was quite nice to do trash on, while the previous one the bin was frozen shut!

I'm what's called in the community I have found myself in, a "Spoonie." This means that I only have so many spoons a day. Tuesday I had fewer spoons than even normal, but I went to bed early. Now, I'm rather lucky that I can sit and rest and recollect a few spoons and if I'm working sitting down, I don't use up as many spoons. And doing the trash, especially the cat boxes, is done mostly sitting down. Of course, dumping those trash cans with the litter in them uses up more spoons than just paper trash. None the less, I had everything done on the whole, so, while I was tired, I could've found enough spoons to drag the trash to the street. However, since the guy friend was coming anyway, I was more than happy to let him use his muscles to do it. I mean, he is only a year and a half younger than I am and is finally going to get his knees looked at tomorrow, but they are at their worse when he's kneeling. We've only been nagging him to get them checked for about 5 years! (I hear tell that other friends have been after him longer.)
