Hi guys,
Hope you all are doing good. I am doing good too. Today, 24th January is celebrated every year since 2008 as "National Girl Child Day".
It was initiated in 2008 by the Ministry of Women and Child Development and the government of India in order to spread public awareness about inequities the girls face in Indian society.
The day is celebrated with organized programs including awareness campaigns about Save the Girl Child, child sex ratios and creation of healthy and safe environment for girls.
The objective of this day is to promote awareness among people about inequities faced by girls in the country. To promote awareness about the rights of girl children and to increase awareness on the importance of female education, their health and nutrition.
I feel it's a great initiative as one can raise awareness about girl child rights in society and empower the girls to educate themselves and move forward in society.
Share your thoughts about it. Have a good day. Take care!!!
