It's no secret that in just a few days, I'm going to be 28...If I hadn't legally changed my age to 27 last year, I might be a bit older than that or possibly younger. How much older or younger isn't a secret, either, but it is a mystery, because no one around here seems to remember---No one who wants to keep their job anyway---And that's fine with me. Age is just a number and 27, soon to be 28, is just as good as any other. Except that I'm going to be 30 in only two years plus a week or so and that really bothers me. I've never been 30 before...As far as you know...And it's stressing me out bigly. So much so, that people are getting worried about me. Sister Gidget Bertrille...Have I ever told you about her? She was a Nun, working in Puerto Rico when I found her. I rescued her from that job and she's not a Nun anymore but she kept the Sister title. None of that is important because I'm the star of this show, not her. Anyway, Gidget is my Spiritual Advisor and Chief Executive Vice President In Charge Of Holy Affairs and she took me to a place called Meadowood the other day. So I could relax and recenter. It's in the Napa Valley. That was weird because whenever we go to California, she always wants to stay in Malibu. Even when it's too cold to surf, as it is now. She says it's not too cold and lots of people do it but I won't let her do it. She's not happy about that but we found a compromise, which we exercised again this time. When we were done in California, I took her to Maui for a few days. Yes, she is addicted to surfing and I'm an enabler but never mind that now. Let's get back to the Napa Valley. The surprising thing is that it kind of worked. At least temporarily. We relaxed and drank some wine. Local wines...Did you know they make wine in California now? I didn't and maybe I'll cover that soon in my Daily Guide To West Coast Dining & Drinking. Speaking of drinking, Fifi, my Head Sommelier and Chief Executive Vice President In Charge Of Fermented Affairs, says she has picked out the Theme Drink for my birthday party this year. For some reason, it's supposed to be perfect for Aquarians like me. We aren't supposed to talk about birthdays here...Not that I would anyway, since I'm almost 30 now and I don't need to be reminded of it, but since some people ask what the date is anyway, I will just say it falls sometime between February 1 and February 3. And this drink is supposed to fit the Aquarian Spirit. Plus, Fifi says it has tea in it and people my age drink lots of tea. So we'll see what happens. ************** DRINKCOCKTAILS Drink This Cocktail to Celebrate Aquarius Season This bourbon and earl grey cocktail will inspire optimism and encourage your free spirit. Have a great birthday celebration. Evryone will turn 30, there is no doubt. Age is just a number to remind us how long we have lived. I will be completing my 30 in two months but I still don't feel like that. But reality has to be accepted

Some people say that a lot of times, reality will be whatever you want it to be. I hope that's true.

@Fleura there's a limit to how long you can keep pretending. ------------Is that a hard limit? Or is it negotiable?

Happy birthday! I was expecting that for Aquarians, the obvious drink would be water... but if you are going to be a tea-drinker, have you come across this?

Now that you mention it, water would seem to be the logical drink of choice for The Water Bearer. BUT every drink is mostly water, so tomato, tahmato? I had never come across the Novelteas but they look very interesting.

@xander6464 I only recently heard of them but haven't tried them. I have found a place that sells them and I'm going to look for some in a couple of weeks.
