Why do i feel so uneasy?

My partner colleague who had been working for 7 years in this company was promoted to senior storekeeper today. He was previously a storekeeper , same post as mine.
I had just started to work here as store keeper for 4 months. I should be feeling happy for him but am not, i felt uneasy. Why do i feel this way ? Is it jealousy?

You should be happy for him. He has been working there for a while and you've only been working there a short time, why should you feel jealous? Do you enjoy your job? When you've been working there for 7 years maybe you will get a promotion.

I hope you don't feel that. working 7 years without promotion is demoralizing, I felt that before when some people who came later. than me were promoted first and it took 8 years of waiting before I got my first promotion and thanks God that I got promoted again after one year. Patience with hard work paid off and I got the highest position in the department. Just keep on working and prove yourself to be deserving of a promotion.
