My Little Workspace Project.

Sooo, I’ve been using my Dad’s old desk (which was previously used by my 20yr old niece until she got a laptop, now she uses that in her room) for a few months now. I have several things besides my laptop on it. I.e., a basket for my journals/planners, basket for my mouse, remote, etc. and a small drawer (from the Dollar Tree) with various odds and ends.
I’m glad to have a spot this stuff, but I’m not 100% sure I’m happy with it. Sometimes, it just feels a little cluttered.
My workspace in the dining room, near the chest freezer. There is a space between my desk and the freezer with various items (i.e., puzzles and, sadly, a few of Momma’s odds and ends). We’ve been in limbo with some of Momma’s things, to be honest. I know it’s been almost six months since she passed, but it’s a process, going through and removing some of her things. However, I need the space next to my desk, so I’m going to be going through it. I’ll be okay.
Anywho, once I straighten that area out, I’m getting a rolling cart for that space. My sister has two for her books (she loves to read), so I already took measurements of her three-tier one (which she got from Michael’s Crafts). I’ll be getting the same one, but most likely in a different color.
I’m planning to use the rolling cart for things I want in or near my workspace, but not necessarily on my desk. The basket with my planners and journals, for example, can be placed in the top tier because I only use them once or twice a day. The smaller basket for my mouse, remote, etc. are going to stay on my desk, as will the smaller drawer because of its size. Otherwise, only the things I really need (and maybe a few knick-knacks) are going to stay on my desk.
If possible, I’ll probably use the bottom tier for some of our dogs’ stuff (treats, puppy pads, etc.) because that’s where I’m at in life right now lol. I don’t mind though. If I did, I wouldn’t do it.
My goal is to at least start cleaning on Sunday. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I want to get up early on Sunday and avoid naps to hopefully reset my internal clock, so I think saving this project for then is a good way to keep busy.
So yeah, that’s my plan. It may be a few weeks or months before I can get the rolling cart, but I need to straighten up the area before I can even order the cart.
Alrighty, back to work I go. :)

Sounds like a good plan. Those carts always come in handy for something.
