Thanks to a Socorro County deputy and a paramedic who assisted the injured woman was stranded in the mountains, a police helicopter managed to get the injured hiker inside the helicopter and take her to a local hospital where she was treated for her injuries which are not life threatening.
How did the woman who was rescued by the police and the first responder suffer her injury is not known at this time even though the incident happened eight days ago.

I agree with you since I am sure that the injured woman was scared as well as depressed not being able to move.

Mountains are very scary to be in. The deputy and the paramedic did a wonderful job rescuing her.
