Day 235 Psalm 143:1 Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications; in Your faithfulness and righteousness, answer me. 2 And enter not into judgment with Your servant; for in Your sight shall no man living be justified. 3 For the enemy has persecuted my soul; he has smitten my life down to the ground; he has made me to dwell in darkness, as those who have been long dead. 4 Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate. 5 I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your works; I muse on the work of Your hands. 6 I stretch forth my hands unto You; my soul thirsts after You, as a thirsty land. Selah. 7 Hear me speedily, O LORD; my spirit fails; hide not Your face from me, lest I be like unto them who go down into the pit. 8 Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning; for in You do I trust. Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto You. 9 Deliver me, O LORD, from my enemies. I flee unto You to hide me. 10 Teach me to do Your will; for You are my God. Your spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. 11 Quicken me, O LORD, for Your name’s sake; for Your righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble. 12 And of Your mercy cut off my enemies, and destroy all them who afflict my soul; for I am Your servant. Masters and servants, employers and employees, officers and enlisted, parents and children. No matter your situation, there is a chain of command. When you have a problem, you go to the person in charge to advocate for your situation. David knew who to turn to with his problems. He turned to God. He knew God would listen and help him because he trusted God in everything. As Christians, you know you are a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. When you face problems, you can go straight to your Father in heaven. He will hear your prayers and act on your behalf. What problems do you face? You know all your problems come from one source—Satan. He wants to derail your life, turn your focus from God to self so you lean on everyone else but God for the answer to your problems. Instead, derail him by going directly to God. Lay out your concerns to Him and He will get rid of the source of your trouble. The moment your knees hit the floor, you bow your head and turn your attention to God, Satan will flee. Every problem he tried to bring you will dissipate as smoke when you see God’s hand working in your life. Jesus said to seek Him first, not last, and He would take care of everything. Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. What does God add to you? Peace in knowing He takes care of you in every problem you face. Turn to God right now and watch your troubles disappear. Let’s pray: Father, too often I don’t recognize Satan coming against me until I’m in the middle of the problem and sinking in the quagmire of doubt and despair. Help me see Satan’s schemes the moment he comes against me and turn to You for help. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 3 February 2022 by Valerie Routhieaux

Yes Satan is the source of all my problems that bring unhappiness into my life. He distracts me to lose my focus on God. I should continue on my faith and walk with God
