This castle is in Zau de Câmpie, Romania and it was built according to the principles of a calendar. It has 365 windows, how many days are in a year, 4 towers, the same as the number of seasons, 52 rooms, how many weeks are in a year, 7 terraces - how many days are in a week and 12 hallways, how many are the months of the year. Unfortunately the castle is in a bad shape, not being restored. We hope they do something to renovate it, to become as it was before, beautiful!

Wow, that's amazing. Are there any pictures online of it, to see how it looked before it got in bad shape?

@carina75 I wish they did have some older pictures of it and also be able to see the inside.

@sweetashoney Yes, i am few km from that place, I.ve been there in 2019, but it is almost a ruin. Our authorities do not do anything to make it great again. It is a beautiful castle with a beautiful story...and lot of money for them if tourism enflourish. In the area is also a protected area of wild peonies, Very nice place.

A lot of history here, it was built in 1911 by Ugron the ambasador of Austro-Hungarian ambasador in Russia, which was inlove by one of the Nicolai II of Russia' daughter. A love story involved in!
