Are you a writer of fiction. Do you want to be a writer of fiction? Have you ever wondered if you have what it takes to be a writer of fiction? I don't claim to be a great writer. Having said that, the YouTube link I've posted has some really good tips on writing. I might just have gotten a few pointers myself and I've been writing a long time. I'm not going to say that I'm a good writer. But, I write. Nobody can claim to be a writer who doesn't write. Are you a writer? Did you watch the video? Did it spark something in you?
Just discussing some things I find important about writing through the examples of The Suicide Squad, Joker, Game of Thrones and more.Discord: https://disco...

I used to write fan fiction and still do when I'm in the mood to. I've had other things going on and have gotten away from it.I am not perfect, and I don't claim to be. I don't try to be. I do it because it gives me something to do when the mood strikes.

The advice is good for any kind of writing, mostly fiction writing, but any writing. I'm not perfect either, but my creations are more real to me in some ways than people I meet in real life.

I just watched the video. I loved it, and loved how he ended it too. Truth be told I haven't watched any of the movies he talked about, but it makes me want to watch the Joker. The plot needs to make sense for me more than the characters do. My husband always says I should write a book as he likes the way I write, I never took the plunge because I don't have that much faith in me to pull it off. At least in the Fiction category. But the video was highly educational and an eye-opener, thank you so much for sharing.

I thought the video was good about explaining about writing using movies. Yes, movies start with writing so it is a perfectly valid way to do it, but most people don't seem to see them that way. I was sort of aware of the fact, but became very aware once I started writing fanfic. These days I am writing mostly original fic and in several of my fanfics have my original creations are there. My stuff is on Archive of Our Own under the same name.

You know I'm trying to be a writer. I will watch the video when I get a minute. I watch a few writing videos. Bookends Literary Agency has a good YouTube channel which I watch weekly.

I've been writing since about 9th grade... 13 or 14. Was it good? No, it was bad. The real secret to being a writer is to write. You do some here, so do I, and actually writing for myLot and stuff helped me get over a bad writer's block.

@ElicBxn It's just taking me too long to finish editing my real first book. I wrote one years ago that is too long and needs editing but it's on the backburner. I have an idea for another novel I want to get to after the one I'm working on now. Just... editing is hard.

I always wanted to be a writer but not so much of fiction, ideally I'd like to be a travel writer. What do you write?

I write a kind of science fiction. Oh, add to this - Mark Twain started out as a travel writer...
