I just wonder what goes through the mind of college aged males who like to take chances like walking in cold weather on a frozen lake. On Friday morning, the Chicago Fire Department answered an emergency call from a concerned eyewitness who was in his high-rise apartment seeing a male who is a college student walking on the ice that covered Lake Michigan. What makes me wonder what ran through the college student's mind was that the male was 1,000 feet away from the shore. The problem was that he could not walk back to shore. The Chicago firefighters as well as the police were able to rescue the male by getting him into a raft and take him back to the shore safe and sound. The temperature at the time of the rescue was 12 degrees Fahrenheit which is pretty cold for anyone to take a walk outside. After EMS officials checked the college male student for any ill effects of walking on the icy lake, he was released quickly when the officials found out that the male walker was in good health. Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good in our lifetime.

You are right since falling down on ice is harder than landing on the floor on a wet surface.

That is true since it is not wise to walk in cold weather on an icy lake.

I hope that the college male learned his lesson not to walk on icy conditions in cold weather from now on.
