Song of The Siren

This poem was written back in 2020 when I was watching the scene from Pirates Of The Caribbean On Stranger Tides, when I came across the Mermaid scene. With her singing and angelic voice lulling a naïve sailor, I had the inspiration to write a poem based on that scene. Here it is, hope you enjoy it. Song of The Siren On a cold windy day Out on waters open, Came an encounter Practically unspoken. A haze fogs my mind As she emerges from the deep, Catching my broken heart One she can definitely keep. She begins her song A seducing chant so powerful, All thoughts bad leave at once With a slight touch delightful. With a voice so golden As she strikes every note, My body is overwhelmed With euphoria while on this boat. Cold lips pressed on mine Proving to me you're real, With a kiss that steals my soul In order for my heart to heal. Nicely done Nick. I have never watched a Pirates of the Caribbean movie so I don't know the scene that inspired you but will look it up.
