Day 238 Proverbs 15:29 The LORD is far from the wicked: but he hears the prayer of the righteous. When do you think about God? For most people, it’s when a crisis arises and they believe God can fix it. Yet they don’t receive an answer to their prayers. Many people wonder why God doesn’t hear their prayers. Solomon showed God doesn’t hear the prayers of wicked people, only those of the righteous. Who does God consider wicked? That’s easy, you say. Anyone who commits crimes. They are easy to point out, or are they? Have you paid fines for speeding, not paying the meter, getting into a car accident? Those are crimes. Does that make you wicked? No? Then why doesn’t God hear your prayers? As Christians, you know it doesn’t matter what kind of person you are, if you haven’t accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord, God will not hear your prayers. God is not obligated to hear the prayers of those who haven’t given their lives to Him. They are still dead in their sins. Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. A wicked person is anyone who hasn’t accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord. It doesn’t matter what kind of person he or she is; it matters only whether you belong to Jesus Christ. God’s promises are for His children, those who accepted Him as Savior and Lord. He obligates Himself to hear their prayers, come to their rescue, defeat Satan, and provide everything they need. Which side of the fence are you on? Have you accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord, or are you wondering where God is when you need Him? Solomon said He’s far from the wicked but hears the prayers of the righteous. Let’s pray: Father, thank you for hearing me when I pray. When trouble comes my way, help me turn to You, knowing You hear me and will answer me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 6 February 2022 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay.

Some Christians believe that their actions are just, but those actions are not right in the sight of God. However they are still born again Christians - will their prayers be answered.

No. If their actions don't line up with God's Word, the only answer He will give is No. Have a blessed day.
