I along with my family have seen in Bardhaman, Birbhum and other districts of West Bengal that the rice is planted in the open. But the flower plantations like marigold, crysanthemum roses are planted in lands covered by cemented walls which look more like resorts. Some of the landowners have given part of the lands to build hotels and swimming pools and the farming is done in the rest of the land.
