240g of carbon represent 240g/12,011g = 19.98 mol of carbon 19.98 mol of sulphur is 19.98 mol x 32.064g/mol = 640,64 g Basic idea of this calculation is, that 1 mol of any element always contains the same number of atoms, which is Avogadro's number.
