The Good---Part 1--February 2022

The 'Christmas Cactus' wasn't aware that I don't have a birthday this year bloomed anyway--the pictures of the Mother plant and the two 'babies' were taken February 27th and 28th. They never fail to acknowledge me no matter if February has 28 or 29 days!
Though we had a few days where we hit the 50s overnight in January and, at the beginning of February, we had one or two nights that the temperatures went below the 60s (and I moaned and groaned about them though I knew it would warm up a two or day later) I was surprised that we have had at least 14 days reached 80 degrees or above and March will start with a high of 83 degrees, with low humidity! When we had rain the past two weeks it was a light rain or happened late at night or early morning with the days being warm and sunny!
I am curious to see what the Spring and Summer will bring to South Florida weather wise except for all those people running away from the bad winters they had to clog our beaches, streets, restaurants, etc. but, to end this part---the good part--I will admit they do bring a lot of money so I'll smile and welcome them (you)!
Part 2--the bad--I needed at least 24 hours to believe it really happened!--tomorrow

So. You don't hold it against me that I was busted three times in two weeks for underage drinking on Spring Break 1979?
Thanks. I did spend 2k on that trip. I just wish I remembered more of it.
My mother-in-law gave us a Christmas cactus in 1984. It never bloomed until the kids had moved away. 22 years of waiting. I had given up.
Then, the first Christmas we had without kids, it bloomed. It was cause for celebration here. The kids came to visit that year and we all admired the tiny bloom on that cactus. This is one of those "you had to be there" stories. It has bloomed every year since then but at different times. Sometimes as early as October, sometimes as late as March.
It hasn't grown much since we first got it but it's happy and healthy.

My original one (the HUGE one) was once the size of the small ones---and blooms every month!! (Maybe because I have no kids around!!!)

@GreatMartin
It would be great if mine bloomed that often. Mine looks different than yours. Maybe it's not a Christmas cactus after all.
I will have to look it up now.

From what you have indicated, you could have quite hot summers in store for you.
The plants look nice.
Any close up picture of them?

@GreatMartin You are right since the Weather Channel was talking about the winter storm in the North states.
