Hi guys,
Hope you all are doing good. I am doing good too. Today is the first day of new month and on this day is the auspicious festival of Maha Shivaratri as well.
Most of you know this day and significance. For those who don't know, Maha Shivaratri is a significant Hindu Festival observed in honour of Lord Shiva.
On this day, the devotees of Lord Shiva observe a day long fast, remain awake all night and perform puja i.e. prayers during Nishita Kaal to celebrate this auspicious occasion.
With this festival, the weather has taken a turn in India as it has started to become hot over here. The summer season will officially start after the Holi festival though.

Do you fast on the day of Shivratri? I used to fast and break my fast with homemade lemon juice only after the mounting of the 'Akanda Deep' of Lingaraj Temple Bhubaneswar which was clearly visible from my flat. Presently I have stopped as the doctor has adviced me not to fast.

Happy Maha Shivaratri. It was a very nice day for me too. Got everything I wanted, finished all my chores and got an extra ice cream that's on sale.
