You know what I hate? When you're at home your brain is on silent mode and refuses to throw any new ideas for writing at you. But the moment you're out of the house at work, it suddenly comes on like: HEY, LET'S TRY THIS FANTASTIC IDEA FOR A SCENE! Can anyone else relate?

I daydream all the time and come up with all sorts of ideas. I decided to try to daydream only when I am writing so the ideas get written down. I always rewrite so I can add or discard ideas as the story/article develops. It works better that way for me. I still daydream but try to save it for my writing time.

My mind has the tendency to wander more often when I'm away from the house because I'm less distracted. I drive for work, making deliveries so there's not much I can do while behind the wheel. I try to remember what I daydreamed so I can apply it to my writing later on.
