Young celebrity deaths surprise you but this was a real shock. Warney liked to party and enjoyed party drugs, ciggies and booze over the years but no way did you expect a cardiac arrest death. Cocaine is liked to increased heart attack risk as it thickens the heart muscle to beat irregular but this seemed odd and part of a pattern.
We now know Covid increases the risk of heart problems for up to one year after infection, however mild your Covid illness. Coupled with the slight risk from some of the jabs for a tiny rise in heart risks the two combined are going to increase sudden deaths, and some of those will be people famous , someone statistically likely to die on live TV one day, somewhere.
Warne was the finest spin bowler ever seen, He was better than the Sri Lankan cheat , who had a bent arm, why Muhli got so many more test wickets than anyone else. The Asian led ICC even changed the rules to help him keep cheating.
Warne played 1000 plus cricket matches and took 2723 wickets in them. He bagged 708 test wickets and 1000 international wickets and 1318 first class wickets. He also scored 15,000 plus runs in all cricket, all rounder stuff. He took 35 five wicket hauls in tests but just one ten wicket match. He was very much a both innings bowler, unusual for a spinner. He was the best.
RIP Warney
