"Tragedy" was written in one afternoon along with another song by Barry, Maurice and Robin Gibb. They were on a break from filming "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band".
The song hit #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100, US Cash Box and US Record World Singles. It was 5th of 6 consecutive #1 singles in a single year.
I wish the Bee Gees were still together. I'd love to see them in concert! Fortunately I have two of their old concerts recorded on our DVR. They are GREAT!
