Confusing mail...

At least, the thing on the top of the pile in the photo was confusing. It had my apartment number on it, but someone else's name, and it was from the people who run my apartment complex.
Okay. I've gotten mail for people who used to live in my apartment, but this was kind of weird.
I opened it (guess I shouldn't have, but..?) and glanced at it--it was something about back rent not being paid or something. Well, I knew I had just paid my rent, and I wasn't sure what was going on, so I took it to the office.
The lady I spoke with explained, once she looked it over, that it was supposed to be addressed to 607, not 617.
Phew. I was pretty sure some mistake was made, but that confused the heck out of me. Felt stupid for opening it, but...first mistake I made since the last one...
I also received a little package which, of course, I won't know what it is until I open it.
It's not time for me to leave yet, but I've got things to read to pass the time.

I think it was good that you had. By finding the contents, you were able to learn about the error and get it resolved. Now, the right tenant will get the mailing, and if the topic comes up and the resident claims they didn't recieve a notice, they would be right in this instance.
