I fear pills

Sometimes when the doctor prescribes pills for me, I will have them on hand for several days before I get up the courage to try them. I have had so many really bad experiences with drugs prescribed me a few times. My last doctor, used to say " should I prescribe so and so for you? Or will you just not take it?"

Yes I have been known not to take some at all.

I trust my doctor to give me the right medicines since so far nothing bad has happened to me.

I can understand your fears. However, I do trust my doctor when I need medication.

I think it's better if you have the same doctor for a while and they bother to look over your history and are dedicated to really do their job.

@bunnybon7 My mother-in-law has to take various kinds of pills daily. And most of them are necessary and shall not skip taking it.

I have not been sick or in the hospital for over thirty years. I do not like to take any kind of pill either.
