Thanks to the heroic act of saving a puppy that fell down 80 feet down and landed on a slate ledge near a small waterfall in Ross County in Ohio on Monday, an eight week old mixed puppy was rescued when the Ross County Humane Society pleaded for help on all social media sites to rescue the puppy since the members of the humane society could not rescue the puppy since even though they heard him barking, they could rescue him. Professional cyclist, veteran and a friend of the humane society Joe Lawhorn saw the plea for help and he took action to scale down 100 feet to rescue the puppy who is named Kenda in honor of Kenda Tire Road N Gravel and bring back the puppy back to a safe area. Joe credits his love of x games style of sports for his amazing ability to scale down mountains and assist persons in need. Kenda and the other puppies that are part of the same litter will be up for adoption at the North Fork Animal Clinic in Ohio..

Glad the puppy was saved but what in the world was it doing all on its own and getting into trouble

Some puppies like to do things that can cause them to be harmed like running away from their owner to see areas on the road that are dangerous for them to be at in an act of curiousity.

Great that Joe Lawhorn had the know-how to rescue the puppy. Wonder how the puppy got away from whoever was watching him. Hope they all find their loving forever homes.

What probably happened what that the puppy ran away from his owner when he was walking with his owner.

Any word on how the puppy managed to get down onto the ledge?

The puppy likely ran away from the person who was walking with him in the area.
