How Is Global Warming Affecting You?

In my part of the world we are having the worse drought in 1000 years(and thats official), we havent had any rain in just over 9 months,i live in a city of 1.5 million people and we are in DEEP trouble,our reservoirs are almost dried up and the countries main river is also almost dried up,we have very severe water restrictions at the moment,we are not allowed to use any water outside of the house,NO sprinklers,No hoses,No washing the car unless its at a car cleaning business.
We have water inspectors,that if they think you are watering your lawn they will take a soil sample ,do a chlorine test and fine you if there is chlorine present.
All this has been put down to global warming by the media and the goverment oppostion party.
My countries leader is totally ignorant of this fact and doesnt care about future generations,hes only concerned no futher than the next election,so is unwilling to make any long term comittments or make decisions that may be unpopular in case there is a voters backlash at the next election (sound familiar).
So i was wondering if anyone else is having similar enviromental problem caused by global warming ??

maybe global warming may be the reason. I stay in india here couple of year back drought was so usual that lot of farm land was converted into waste land due to lack of irrigation. however for past 2 years the southern india has been flooded. Bit un usual as there is not much of low lying areas and not many river also. but the rain were so heavy that almost all the rivers were above the danger level. this year also the rain were not so heavy but the ground water was quite healthy so this time also we have floods. And hopefully if this qontinue we won't have much water problem later. though people with long draught spells as more careful not to waste mcuh of water. anyway from which country you are?
